Language Development: 2 to 4 Years Old

Earlier this year we ran a series of articles on reading and writing skill development for children aged from 0 to 2 years old. Over the next few weeks we will be delving into developing these skills further through the  2 to 4 year old range.

The year or two before children start school is crucial in preparing them for learning to read and write. We’ll be providing lots of ideas to help them develop the skills they will need. Probably the most important tool you can arm them with, though, is a positive attitude to reading and writing, so always be guided by what the child enjoys.
