Products Available on South African Store Shelves Containing GMO’s

According to the this article (click to view)  the following unlabelled food’s have tested positive for GMO’s:

  • Nestle’s Infant cereal, Cerelac Honey
  • Bokomo’s Wheat Free Pronutro
  • Futurelife Energy meal.
  • Impala maize meal

A few items we have noted as labelled ‘may contain genetically modified organisms’ found at your local stores and which many mom’s view as ‘safe’:

  • Jungle oats energy bars
  • Snacker bars
  • Mini cheddars
  • Jack o popcorn

Another great yet shocking article lists products that tested positive for GM products which you can check out here  (it also lists products that tested GM Free):

  • Vegetarian Schnitzel (Soy protein) (Woolworths)
  • Vegi Steak (Soy protein) (Trident Foods) (Labelled GMO free ) but tested positive for GMO’s
  • Soya Drinking Yogurt (Soy yogurt) (Woolworths)
  • Amazon Corn Flakes (Cereal)(Woolworths) (Nature’s Food) (Labelled) QAI(1) Organic USA origin)
  • Soya Milk (Woolworths) Unlabelled
  • Soysense (Soy milk)(Woolworths)(Labelled)* QAI(1) Organic USA origin)

    this product for many years, and for the past few months have not been able to find it at any store in Witbank. Can u please assist,

  2. Hi, is sorghum or do sorghum products contain GMO’s? Please help as I decided sometime ago to stop consuming maize meal. Thanks!
