Organising Homework Assignments

Before starting a study session with your child, take a moment to organise homework assignments into a numbered order before they should be done. Start off with an easy assignment, then move onto a slightly more challenging one. Never save the worst for last. Keep momentum.

Doing so will help the child to develop strong organisation skills as well as lead to a more structured study session. Remember to take a break after around 30 or 45 minutes, dependant on age. Jump around, warm up, get the blood flowing and resume.

Good luck to all those writing mid year exams in South Africa.
